Today at Enrich I made a light bulb glow! The instructions told us to use 8 batteries but it didn't work because the lead kept on exploding! So we moved it down to six batteries and it worked. We tried with three batteries but there wasn't enough power to go so that meant that the lowest was four batteries but it was only dim. When we tried again with the eight batteries it worked. Then we tried with 13 batteries it glowed so bright all you could see on the camera was white. Six was the best because you could see the light.
Hi my names Matt and I am a year six this year. I got to Enrich every Wednesday. Enrich is a school for gifted children. Here are some of the things we do at Enrich: Affective domain - Learning about myself as a gifted kid. Mental edge - sharpens your brain with games. Talent development - learning about what interests us. I enjoy doing: chess, passion time and technology challenges.

Aha - making a light bulb sounds very interesting. Can you imagine how dad can make a substation work? Substations provide all the houses in Invercargill with power?? How big would that battery be? Hmmmmm
