5th at chess

Today I versed Kendall at chess. It was a close match but in the end I won. I got the chance to go to the chess tournament but I have football on the same day so I chose not to go to the chess tournament. For Canstruction we started to sketch a picture of the M&Ms. We changed to only doing the yellow M&M. Here is the picture of my sketch that I did on Google Sketch Up. At lunch time I played "Capture the Cone". My team lost 5-4. Then we did our Must Do's and Picks.

Hi Matt,

Gosh you were on the ball during maths talent development today! I can see that maths is a real strength for you.  It was a great idea you had, to base our M & M measurements around the size of the round table, it will make our figuring out a lot easier! I hope you are ready to use a compass next week, we are going to need a lot of brain power over the next few weeks.

Today at Enrich...

Today I challenged Blake at chess - I won but he had all his pawns and a king. Then we had morning tea. After that it was time for passion time. I made an I-movie of Jayden's lego animation - Cops and Robbers. It was pretty funny because when I told Jayden to smile he wiped his nose with his hand. My movie turned out not as good as I wanted it but it was still good. At lunch time I was playing on an I-pad. When lunch was done, we did Must dos and Picks for the afternoon.

Happy Easter

Today the final day at Enrich for the term. It has been so cool to come to Enrich. I have tried so many new things and met new people. When I first heard Wilson Ludlow was going to Enrich it gave me a goal, and here I am. I feel great to have achieved my goal. I wish Enrich was my everyday school. The chess leader board was fun and makes me practice my chess at home.

Today I did the learning wheel, we had to write something in each box. The box's had I felt, I wondered, I tried, I learned and I used,
We also did dodge ball my team won twice. I hit Darryn three times he hit me twice. Nathan hit him once. We played 5 games and my team won 3 out of 5. But it was unfair because Darryn was always in the other team.
Finally I wish eveyone a happy holiday and Easter.      :)  

Today I did chess leaderboard against Wilson, I won but since he is on Friday's and I am on Tuesday's I don't move up : (. Then I vs Maleko in chess again but like last time we didn't get to finish.
The wilson game was fun this time we sat in a circle, then some people got pegs put on their back you ethier got a red peg on your back or a yellow peg. If you got a peg on your back you walk into the middle of the circle. The aim of the game is to grab the pegs off the other team, each peg you got of the other team was worth 1 point and each one you had on your back was worth 2 points. At the end of the 1 minute they will add up the points and the team with the most points win.

Finaly we did canstuction we had a big list off ideas at the end we were left with M&M's, then we had towork out what color we ended red and yellow.

My day at Enrich

 Today I did the chess before school pick. It was hard but in the end I got it. The fish and bear maths challenge was hard. I challenged Kendal in chess but I lost.

We had to write a list of things that bug us.  My mind was blank when we did the bug list.

 The scamper video was very funny but I got sick of it because they kept repeating the same things over and over again.  SCAMPER is a creative thinking task that makes you think outside the square.   I loved P4C with Darryn, the question today was "Is 'because' a real answer?".

 The Wilson game was very hard but also extremely fun. The aim of the game was to find two bean bags, with the commander giving instructions to a blindfolded person, who was looking for the bean bags.

 The bio poem is a poem about your self.  We had to say our fears, things we are good at, where you were born and things like that.

Week 5

I did photography with Katie and we did different views with the camera. Some of the views we learnt about were birds eye view, worms eye view, long shot, close up and mouse eye.
 I also did my Affective domain workshop with Katie. It was about the bad things about being gifted.  I also vs Maleko in chess and we played twice but we never finished. I learned pins, skewers and forks. I want to practise using pins, skewers and forks next week!
